Polypropylene (PP) Microfiber 12mm (PPMIF12)
Polypropylene (PP) Microfiber 12mm (PPMIF12) — reinforcing fiber for structural concrete, shotcrete and underground structures with delivery across Estonia. The longer 12mm fiber length provides better crack bridging in depth — more effective than 6mm microfiber in thicker structures. Disperses uniformly during standard mixing without balling. Where is PP Microfiber 12mm used
PP Microfiber 12mm is optimal for thicker structures where deep reinforcement matters. In monolithic walls, slabs and foundations the longer fiber creates a denser reinforcing network. For shotcrete it provides mix cohesion and reduces rebound. In underground structures, tunnels and basements it increases waterproofing and crack resistance. Also used in precast concrete elements and repair mortars for deep cracks. For thin screeds and plasters consider Polypropylene (PP) Microfiber 6mm (PPMIF06).
How much PP fiber is needed per m³ of concrete
Standard dosage — 0.6–0.9 kg per 1 m³ of concrete or mortar. Calculation example: monolithic wall 10 m², thickness 20 cm = 2 m³ concrete → 2 packages 600g or 1 package 900g + 1 package 600g.
