Polypropylene (PP) Microfiber 6mm (PPMIF06) — reinforcing fiber for concrete, floor screeds and plasters with delivery across Estonia. Added to the mix during batching and disperses uniformly throughout the volume, forming a three-dimensional reinforcing network of tens of millions of fibers per m³. Prevents plastic shrinkage micro-cracks in the early curing stage — an effective alternative to reinforcing mesh in screeds and plasters. Available in 150g, 600g and 900g packages. Where is PP Microfiber 6mm used
PP Microfiber 6mm is used where protection against plastic shrinkage cracking in the early curing stage is critical. In concrete floor screeds it reduces the risk of surface cracking during drying. In plasters and facade systems it prevents crack networks and delamination. For basements, tanks and pools it reduces water permeability and improves structural durability. Also used in repair mortars and precast elements.
How much PP fiber is needed per m³ of concrete
Standard dosage — 0.6–0.9 kg per 1 m³ of concrete or mortar. Calculation example: floor screed 20 m², thickness 5 cm = 1 m³ mix → 1 package 900g.
Complies with EN 14889-2 (Class I) and ASTM C1116 (Type III).
